(& What I Don't Do)
As a Metabolic Psychiatry and Ketogenic Therapy Peer Navigator, I support individuals who have decided to explore ketogenic therapy and metabolic approaches to mental health. My role is educational, empowerment, and peer-support based—I share resources, research, and lived experience to help you navigate lifestyle changes, track your progress, and collaborate effectively with your healthcare team.
I help you:
Access and understand evidence-based information that outlines the basics of metabolic psychiatry and ketogenic therapies.
Explore the research and literature on the ketogenic diet, in partnership with their existing providers.
Develop structure, accountability, and mindset tools for long-term success.
Bridge the gap between medical information and daily, real-life application.
Connect with credible education sources, clinicians, and peer communities.
Provide evidence-based advocacy templates and supportive discussions around how to communicate with medical care providers
Provide a peer support relationship to discuss concerns and hardships
I am not working in the role of a medical provider, dietitian, or psychotherapist in this context.
I do not:
Prescribe, diagnose, or recommend specific medical treatments.
Provide individualized nutrition or medication plans.
Offer crisis intervention or clinical psychotherapy within this role.
Instead, I act as a guide and peer, helping you understand options, set realistic goals, and communicate with your clinicians more confidently. My work complements—but never replaces—professional medical or therapeutic care.
